Braxton West is one of the first characters in the roster, and the only one with an unsolved case attached to his name.
He was a businessman in his late twenties with a stake in a Grapeseed weed dispensary, either working for it or holding a piece of it. The dispensary drew attention from people who wanted it, and threats on his life followed. Then his car turned up in the middle of the Grapeseed fields, shot to pieces and burned out, with no Braxton anywhere.
Rocky Mountain opened a missing person investigation. It was never closed.
He is not dead. He left, and the story is that he was in Florida the whole time. Whether he staged the burned car himself or survived a real attempt and ran is the part still up in the air.
The look is the read on him: black hair, and a blazer worn with no shirt underneath. A man who wants to be taken seriously as a businessman and cannot quite commit to it. He presents as one more successfully than he operates as one, and when the trouble got real he left instead of fighting.
He is connected to Jack Feebs through that same dispensary, although the two never crossed in person and never will. If he comes back, he is walking into a room full of people who remember the car in the field.
