It started about five years ago. A group of us picked up ARK: Survival Evolved together, and one by one they all fizzled out. I never did. I got hooked instead.
Every time I hit something I did not know how to do, I went and figured it out. Then I figured out the next thing. Get off work, come home, play until the small hours, repeat. Somewhere in there I realized I had picked up a pile of tips, tricks and systems that most people were still fighting with, and that is exactly why this channel exists.
The channel started in the last six months or so of Evolved, so there are only a handful of videos from that era sitting on top of thousands of hours of play. When Ascended landed it kept the mechanics I already knew, made everything a lot prettier, and started demanding a NASA computer to run.
Things really clicked once I started making tutorials, mod reviews and map reviews. Some of those crossed 20,000 views, and they are still what most of you find me through.

The members cluster opens on October 1st. Four maps to start: Ragnarok, Aberration, Svartalfheim Free Edition and Extinction, running the same mods I use on the channel minus anything you would have to buy. The lineup can change as the cluster settles in, so treat it as the starting four rather than a promise.
The servers run in PVP mode, but we play them as PVE. That is a settings choice, not an invitation. PVP mode gives us features we want, and the community plays it as PVE. Nobody is there to wipe you.
I play on these servers too. Not every night, but I am on them, and you will run into me.
Worth saying plainly: this is a members cluster, not the servers you see in the videos. Those are content servers and they go up and down as I need them. Join the Patreon any time between now and October 1st and you will be in on day one.
